There are a lot of ways you can express your opinion in French.
I. Likes and Dislikes
You will already be familiar with the the verbs: aimer, adorer and détester.
Here is a table showing how you can use these verbs to express your likes and dislikes:

Examples:
J'adore le français. I love French.
Elle déteste vraiment regarder les actualités. She really hates watching the news.
Nous n'aimons pas du tout les tomates. We don't like tomatoes at all.
Ils aiment beaucoup faire les magasins. They like to go shopping a lot.
2. Phrases and expressions
To give your opinion in French, you can also use various phrases and expressions.
Here are some common ones:
Je pense que... I think that...
À mon avis... In my opinion...
De mon point de vue... From my perspective...
Selon moi/ D'après moi... According to me...
Pour moi... For me...
Quant à moi... For my part ...
Je crois que... I believe that...
Il me semble que... It seems to me that...
En ce qui me concerne... As far as I'm concerned...
Je trouve que... I find that...
À mon sens... From my point of view...
Personnellement... Personally...
Ça me plaît ... I like it (literally: it pleases me)
Ça ne me plaît pas... I don't like it
Mon opinion est plutôt positive/ négative - My opinion is rather positive/ negative
Examples:
Je pense que la politique est intéressante. I think that politics is interesting.
Selon elle, le tourisme est un atout pour la France. According to her, tourism is an asset for France.
Il lui semble qu'il faut faire quelque chose pour protéger la planète. It seems to him that we must do something to protect the planet.
En ce qui me concerne, le mandarin est la langue la plus difficile à apprendre. As far as I'm concerned, Mandarin is the most difficult language to learn.
3. FOR and AGAINST
You can also say that you are for or against an idea.
FOR:
être pour qqch - to be for sth
être en faveur de qqch - to be in favour of sth
être favorable à qqch - to be favourable to sth
soutenir qqch - to support sth
approuver qqch - to approve of sth
AGAINST:
être contre qqch - To be against sth
être opposé à qqch - to be opposed to sth
être défavorable à qqch - to be unfavourable to sth
rejeter qqch - to reject sth
s'opposer à qqch - to oppose sth
contester qqch -to contest sth
désapprouver qqch - to disapprove of sth
Examples:
Je suis pour le Mariage pour Tous. I am for same-sex marriage.
Il a voté contre le projet de loi. He voted against this law bill.
4. Agree or Disagree
Another way to express your opinion is to agree or disagree with other people's points of view.
Je suis d'accord avec toi. I agree with you.
Je ne suis pas d'accord avec toi. I disagree with you.
Je partage ton avis. I share your opinion.
Je ne partage pas ton avis. I don't share your opinion.
Tu as raison - you are right
Tu as tort - You are wrong
C'est une bonne idée! That's a good idea!
C'est une mauvaise idée! That's a bad idea!
C'est vrai! That's true!
C'est faux! That's false!
Tu te trompes - you are mistaken
Examples:
Je ne suis pas du tout d'accord avec toi en ce qui concerne l'interdiction des téléphones dans les écoles. I don't agree with you at all in regards to banning phones in schools.
Elle partage ton avis au sujet de l'uniforme scolaire. She shares your opinion about school uniform.
5. Certainty
If you are sure or feel strongly about something, you can use:
Je suis sûr(e) que... - I am sure that
Je suis certain(e) que... - I am certain that...
Je suis persuadé(e) / convaincu(e) que ... - I am convinced that...
J'ai la conviction que... - I am convinced that...
Je sais très bien que... - I'm well aware that...
On ne peut pas nier que... - We can't deny that...
C'est un fait que... - It's a fact that...
Il est évident que ... - It's obvious that...
Il est clair que... - It's clear that...
Il est vrai que ... - It's true that...
Il va de soi que... - It goes without saying that...
Il est nécessaire de +inf. / Il est nécessaire que + subjunctive... - It is necessary to/ that...
Il est indispensable de +inf. / Il est indispensable que + subjunctive... - It's crucial to/that...
Il est essentiel de + inf. / Il est essentiel que + subjunctive...- It's essential to/ that...
Il faut + inf./ Il faut que + subjunctive - We must/ it is necessary that
Examples:
Nous sommes convaincus que tu ne devrais pas acheter cette maison. - We are convinced that you shouldn't buy this house.
Il est nécessaire de recycler les déchets. - It is necessary to recycle waste.
6. Uncertainty
You can also express your opinion using uncertainty. If you disagree with someone, but don't want to appear too confrontational, these expressions are the way to go:
Je ne suis pas sûr(e) que... I'm not sure that...
Je ne sais pas si... I don't know if/ whether...
Peut-être que... Perhaps...
Je doute que... I doubt that...
J'ai l'impression que... I feel that...
J'ai le sentiment que... I have the feeling that...
Je suppose que ... I suppose that...
J'imagine que... I imagine that...
je me demande si... I wonder if...
j'ai entendu dire que ... I heard that...
admettons que - Let's say that...
Il paraît que... apparently
Il est possible/probable que + subjunctive... It's possible that...
Il se peut/ pourrait que + subjunctive... It may be that...
Examples:
Je ne sais pas si tu devrais y aller - I don't know if you should go there.
Il paraît que la viande rouge est mauvaise pour la santé - Apparently, red meat is bad for your health.
7. Conditional Statements
Finally, you can also use conditional statements:
Si j'étais à ta place/ si j'étais toi, je + conditional... If I were in your place/ If I were you, I would...
Si tu veux savoir ce que j'en pense... If you want to know what I think ...
Si je ne me trompe pas... If I'm not mistaken...
Je pourrais envisager de/que... I could consider...
Dans le cas où... In the event that...
Examples:
Si j'étais toi, je lui dirais. If I were you, I would tell him.
Je pourrais envisager de le faire - I could consider doing it.
8. For fun: Informal expressions
Je suis fan de.../ Je ne suis pas fan de... - I'm a fan of/ I'm not a fan of...
C'est ma tasse de thé/ Ce n'est pas ma tasse de thé - It's my cup of tea/ It's not my cup of tea
C'est mon truc / Ce n'est pas mon truc - It's my kind of thing/ It's not my kind of thing
Ça me dit bien/ Ça ne me dit rien - I fancy it/ I don't fancy it
Je suis sur la même longueur d'onde/ Je ne suis pas sur la même longueur d'onde - I am on the same wavelength/ I am not on the same wavelength
Examples:
Je suis fan de variété française - I am a fan of French music.
Ça ne me dit rien d'aller voir ma soeur - I don't fancy going to see my sister
